It only took a few hours to get to Quito
and it was quite a contrast from Otavalo,
as expected... We spent a couple of night
there, exploring mainly the old part of town.
We visited the very interesting Monastery
of San Francisco, walked and walked up many
steep stairs leading to Parque Itchimbia
and admired the city from the balcony of
a posh restaurant!
It didn't feel right to be in a big city
again so we rushed back towards the country
side aboard an early bus.
